Well, July 6th but still...Happy Independence Day!! I was missing the girls and their families a lot when we shot off fireworks but luckily we had friends, the Cooks, Pettits, Morettes and Ivan and Linda (Ivan is one of Don's partners) accept our invitation to come over. Don and Emily our neighbors across the street made an appearance as well. It was a lot of fun actually. Don mowed a 4 hole golf course out back, we had a water balloon fight and a slip-n-slide that we were suppose to use to play kickball but the kids just had fun sliding on it. We ate a lot but forgot the yummy watermelon. 4th of July without watermelon?? Don and I cut one open the next day and it was sooooo sweet. We shared the other one with our neighbor. The fireworks were great. I wished the girls could be here...maybe next year. Forgot to take pictures!!
