Here are my two brothers. Joey and Mario. It's been 30 years since they've passed away on my 13 birthday in Guadalajara, Mexico. Mario was 8 and Joey was 16. My little cousin, Meno, also 8, died in the same car accident. I still remember the events of that day and lots of other memories come to mind. Joey was athletic, a wrestler, and he loved to lift weights. I remember him trying to be Evil Kenivel one day with his bike and he broke his arm. Mario was artistic and was forever drawing...Star Wars characters was his fav. Mario hated these overalls because his teacher would call him "farmer John". One day when Joey and Don were going to stake dance, I had to iron Joey's silk shirt..his fav..and guess what I did? I ironed a hole in it right before he had to leave. I was not his favorite sister that night. What did I know about silk?? Mario also loved to play the piano. He played a song from the movie "Rocky" in the talent show when he was in second grade...I still can't play that song right...but he did it. He had a talent for the piano..playing what he heard. He was working on Elton John's "Someone Save My Life Tonight" and singing with it. He had the words down pretty good and when he sang the cuss word in the song..lol..I remember the panic in his eyes thinking he was going to get into trouble. He didn't. I don't think he ever got into trouble. I think one of my fav stories about me and Joey is the time we were Guadalajara and he wrestled me down to dry shave my legs because no sister of his was going to have hairy legs like all the girls in Mexico did at the time. I wasn't allowed to shave before I turned 13!! I was lucky my legs weren't scared for life with that razor!!! That's a bit around memory lane. I'm sure I could go on forever but I won't.
