Disneyland and then some

We finally had a family vacation! This was suppose to be our Disney World year but circumstances didn't allow us to go there. We know Disneyland and so off we went. But first, my mom gave my sister a big birthday party on October 17. We did a little karaoke and had some fun with a competition although most people wouldn't get involved with that...they missed out on some cool prizes. It was a little disappointing but oh well. My sister was happy and a lot of people showed up and my mom did a lot of hard work. She really wanted it to come out well and it did. I didn't get a really good picture of the wall my dad painted but this is the birthday wall he paints for everyone's birthday. The party was an "over the hill" party so if you look closely, you'll notice the black hill with some saguaros on the bottom.

Jordan and Jelia sang Jason Mraz's song, or how Jordan calls it "tatabon's song", I'm Yours. Jordan knows the song pretty well. I was trying to sing with them to keep them on track but she would stop me and tell me no. I couldn't sing with her! She put me in my place because she knew exactly what to do. It was pretty funny.

Adam and I sang the Proclaimers song "500 Miles". I thought we did pretty good. Bailey would look at me and throw her head back and start laughing. I'm not sure what that meant....

I forgot to introduce my new little grandnephew!!! This is Phoenyx Mario Alvarez. Here, he is three weeks old. This is also Jordan's doll stroller which he happens to fits into perfectly! He is such a cutie and I only got to hold him the first day I got there. I had been exposed to that H1N1 so I didn't want to get close to him...I couldn't even hold him when I left because I had a cold. I wanted to snuggle with him he was so precious. The next time I see him I'll have to teach him what Aunti Fave is all about.
