Happy Thanksgiving!

I have so many things to be thankful for this year.  I thankful for my family; a good husband who supports me in all I do and provides a way for me to do my traveling; two beautiful daughters who are doing an outstanding job being wives and mothers, friends and daughters; good parents who raised me with the gospel in our home despite tragedy and challenges; a loving older sister who's always there when I need her; two new grandbabies born early this year who are growing like weeds and their two older siblings who have their Nana wrapped around their little fingers; and two sons-in-law who love my daughters; a spunky grandniece, my niece and two handsome nephews; and for the ex-brother in law who is still a big part of the family.   I'm thankful for my calling in the Young Women and for my outstanding counselors and YW board; and for those awesome young women who constantly make me smile.

Other things I'm thankful for this year:  no tornadoes, the new Il Divo album that just came out this month, the Twilight soundtrack (it's excellent) and the Twilight movie and to be able to go to the midnight showing with the girls and my niece in AZ, Chris getting a partial to play volleyball at Grand Canyon University, Antonio and his law enforcement accomplishment, Don's new partner (who is doing an outstanding job), new friends in Texas, Facebook for old friend, Don finally getting his iphone so I don't have to hear his whining anymore, a new ward, my parents celebrating their 50th anniversary, staying under a certain size pants, an organized husband, and now my mind went blank because Don has the radio full blast in the other room and I'm too busy listening!

For so much I am truly thankful.  I hope this Thanksgiving day you will all reflect on your many blessings and dwell on those rather than what you don't have because when we step back and look at our lives, we'll see how many things have been given to us that aren't fully recognizable but are there.  We have a loving Heavenly Father that will never leave us, and is constantly giving.  Let us give back by loving those around us and being grateful.
